Public Works Director

The City of Cannon Falls is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works Director. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Directing and overseeing the operations of the utility, street, park and fleet divisions
  • Developing and recommending a departmental budget
  • Snowplowing
  • Maintaining effective community relations 
  • Possesses strong communication, leadership and organizational skills and thorough knowledge of safety policies;
  • Maintenance;
  • Operating Equipment

Minimum qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Extensive experience with water/waste water operations, infrastructure maintenance, snow removal;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Special requirements include:

  • MN Class D Water and Wastewater License
  • Valid commercial driver’s license with Air Brakes endorsement. 

Compensation

$83,636 - $105,934 depending on qualifications, plus benefits.
