  • Waste Water Treatment Plant Operation
  • Streets and Sidewalks
  • Snow Removal
  • Compost Pile/Dump
  • Parks Maintenance

The City of Cannon Falls has several parks with a variety of offerings from sports facilities, river access and trails as well as smaller neighborhood parks with a variety of playground equipment and amenities.

Location: 825 Cannon River Avenue (north of Archie Swenson Softball fields)

Cannon Falls residents are free to deposit allowed items listed below in the appropriate compost piles.

What is allowed in the compost piles?

The City of Cannon Falls will be conducting door-to-door inspections to check water service lines to comply with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements regarding Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR). This is a mandatory requirement and will continue until each service is identified. These inspections are for those properties that currently have an unknown service material.

The pool property also has a skate park and ice skating rink in winter months. 

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

The City of Cannon Falls is implementing a PFAS Pollutant Management Plan (PMP) as a part of an agreement with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are a family of man made chemicals common in many household products and known as “forever chemicals”. PFAS are extremely resistant to environmental degradation and are not easily removed through conventional pollution treatment methods.
