Maintenance Operator I

The City of Cannon Falls is seeking applications for a full time Public Works Maintenance 1 worker that has the ability to be a team player, to work alone or as a group and is a self-motivator. A safety orientated person with a safe driving record is a must. This position is subject to drug testing.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include:
Repair and maintenance of streets, conduct snow removal and ice control, minor equipment maintenance, operate a variety of equipment including bucket truck, loader, skid loader, lawn mowers, etc., maintain city owned ball fields and parks with routine repairs of park equipment and facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and considerable experience with automotive mechanics, tree trimming or equipment operation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
Valid commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
Salary:
$21.79 - $27.60 depending on qualifications plus excellent benefits package.
